Ramanathaswamy Temple located on the serene island of Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu, the Ramanathaswamy Temple is a divine pillar of India's spiritual heritage. This temple has a deep connection to the Ramayana where Lord Rama, having killed Ravana in Lanka, prayed to Lord Shiva here to purify the sin of killing a Brahmin. The lingam, which Lord Rama himself installed, turns this shrine into one of the most sacred in all of India.
