Shri Jagannath Temple located in Puri, Odisha, is one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites and one of the most sacred Vaishnav temples in India. Dedicated to Lord Jagannath (a form of Krishna), along with Balabhadra and Subhadra, it’s famed not only for its religious significance but also for its mysteries, ancient rituals, and massive chariot festival Rath Yatra.
The temple is believed to have been constructed in the 12th century by King Anantavarman Chodaganga Deva of the Eastern Ganga dynasty.
