Dwarkadhish Temple is located in Dwarka city of Gujarat. This is one of the Char Dhams that include Badrinath, Puri, and Rameshwaram. The temple stands as a majestic tribute to Lord Krishna, known here as the "King of Dwarka." It is believed that Lord Krishna arrived here from Braj in Uttar Pradesh to build the city. The temple was established by his grandson, Vajranabh. Situated at the brink of the Gomti River, it provides a scenic backdrop to this spiritual site. Dwarka is said to have been submerged under the sea six times, and what we see now is its seventh avatar.
The flag soaring atop the temple, symbolically imprinted with the sun and moon, reminds worshippers that Krishna’s reign endures as long as the cosmic bodies exist.
