Kashi Vishwanath Temple is one of the oldest temple of Shiva located in hearts of Varanasi old name Banaras. It was constructed in the year 1780 by Maharani AhilyaBai Holkar of the Indore. Varanasi city in Uttar Pradesh is known as one of the oldest cities in the world. This Jyotirlinga, which is situated on the bank of the Ganga, is said to offer liberation (moksha) to anyone who even gets a glimpse of it. It is more than just a temple, it is the spiritual city where every single thing belongs to Shiva.

This place has powerful, soul-stirring worship that is brimming with ritual vitality. A strong sense of devotion is evoked by the tall golden spire, the continuous chants of "Har Har Mahadev" and the aroma of sandalwood and incense.

Nearest Station: Varanasi Junction (also known as Varanasi Cantt, ~5 km from the temple)
From Station: Use auto-rickshaws, cycle rickshaws, or app-based cabs (Ola/Uber)

Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport (Varanasi Airport) (~25 km from temple)
From Airport: Take a prepaid taxi, app-based cab, or shuttle service to Godowlia or Dashashwamedh Ghat area.

From Nearby Cities: Good connectivity from Allahabad (120 km), Patna (250 km), or Lucknow (300 km)
Common Route from Allahabad: Allahabad → Handia → Mirzapur → Varanasi

Parking Tip: Use designated parking areas near Godowlia Chowk. Vehicles aren't allowed near the temple—walk or take an e-rickshaw from Godowlia.
